YOGA 

Yoga Alliance certified Yoga instructor since 2004, Lauri has been practicing Yoga since 1999. A former record holding high school and collegiate diver, Lauri has not only been studying relaxation & meditation for over 35 years, she has been mastering the use of these techniques herself- as an athlete and in her daily life as well.

Lauri is grateful for the opportunity to deepen her own practice & to enhance her teaching by studying with Internationally renowned Yoga Masters: Erich Schiffmann, Sadie Nardini, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, & Duncan Wong, as well as Dr. Nagendra & Dr. Sridar (both from the SVYASA school of Yoga in India). She is particularly thankful for guidance given to her by Anne DiDomenico, Dr. Veena Gandhi & especially "Bluefeather"- Marcus Evans- who first introduced her to the infinite possibility of the mind, body, and spirit.

Lauri loves to mix it up in her practice and what she teaches. Although her main focus is on Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga (CSVY), she enjoys learning and sharing techniques from a variety of disciplines. Movements and meditations from various Yoga influences, Qigong, Kung Fu, Music, & Sound Healing or even some HIIT training could show up at any time in her classes.
Ultimately her goal is to assist her students in being the most amazing versions of themselves that they can be.

You may be pushing yourself too hard- thinking that your pose needs to look like someone else’s idea of the ”perfect shape”. Guess what- it doesn’t have to look or feel like anyone else’s. In fact it shouldn’t. Your body is unique & your poses shouldn’t look like anyone else’s! Forcing the body into shapes that it’s not ready for causes it to push back - shut down & could even lead to injuries.

🤘 Learn how to back off to go deeper. BEND LIMBS, MOVE MORE ORGANICALLY, WARM UP THE BODY & SEDUCE THE BODY INTO OPENING. Utilizing concepts from CSVY (a safer- more effective way to practice Yoga) you will learn how to use your deep core line and personal body alignment to be more in tune with what your body needs so you can be safer & more effective and become stronger & more flexible mind, body & spirit.

With a focus on the deep core line, this class flows from pose to pose integrating breath with movement leading students deeper into their moving meditation practice. Different options are offered to accommodate varied levels of students’ abilities. This is a physically challenging class best for those with some prior yoga experience

Find your Fierce, Fearless, Fabulous Warrior in Lauri's  unique, high-energy, fun fusion of Yoga, Martial Arts, HIIT, plyometric & isometric movements, music and meditation! We're going to mix it up! Sun Salutations and Warrior poses are woven with sequences of kicks and punches, strengthening and conditioning moves, & balancing your muscular strength and flexibility- with a particular focus on the core. Reward yourself with a cooling Savasana finish. YogaBlaast! is dynamic and challenging, yet accessible. It offers the & mental and spiritual lift of yoga with the physical benefits of a cardiovascular and strength workout.This uplifting class will unleash your inner warrior, leaving you feeling Empowered, Energized- and Sweaty! ...as well as Peaceful and Relaxed. And its a great way to let go and shed excess weight- physically and mentally!

(Don't worry, modifications and variations are provided so beginning through advanced YogaBlaasters will be accommodated.)

It's hard to be a kid today.

Children deal with many distractions, temptations, over stimulation and peer pressure. Schools are challenged to do more with less and be creative in how they reach even the most isolated child. 

Yoga is a low-cost, helpful tool that can have a positive impact 

Yoga helps kids:
